Is Villa del Sol subsidized housing?

No. While we accept Section 8 vouchers, Villa del Sol does not provide rental assistance in the form of a subsidy. Income restrictions however, do apply.

What security features does the building have?

Villa del Sol uses a fob-entry system. All entry points into the building are secure. The property is professionally managed with 24 hour maintenance support. 

Are pets allowed?

No, unfortunately, we do not allow pets.

Can I smoke in my unit?

No, Villa del Sol is a non-smoking residency.

How many parking stalls does each unit receive?

Each apartment is allotted one reserved parking stall, located underneath the building. There is also on-street parking available. We cannot offer additional parking spots for families with more than one vehicle.

Is there a community room and/or outdoor space?

Yes, Villa del Sol has a resident-only community room to utilize. The building also features a small, outdoor patio and an upcoming playground. In addition, a community space at the front of the building hosts events for all community members. Check out upcoming events here.

How do I utilize the community space?

If you are a resident and would like to use resident-only community room, please contact the on-site manager. If you are a community member and would like to rent the larger community room for a meeting or event, contact Taylor Gauthier at tgauthier@nedahome.org.

Is there access to a washer and dryer?

Each floor has access to a card-operated washer and dryer.  

How is my unit heated and cooled?

Each individual unit has control over both their heating and cooling. Tenants are responsible for electricity. Heating is gas-operated and is included in the rent. 

What is the security deposit?

Villa del Sol requires a security deposit of $400.

Will you check my credit?

Yes, as part of the application process, we will pull a consumer credit report on all adult tenants. 

Do you accept Section 8 vouchers?

Yes, Villa del Sol is an affordable housing community and we accept vouchers. Minimum income guidelines do not apply for voucher-holders.
